Creative Practice Forward! (Community of Practice)
Facilitated by Paul Ricciardi (Communications & Performing Arts)
Creative Practice Forward! provides faculty from across disciplines with an opportunity to share creative works (scholarly, performing arts, visual arts, etc), and / or creative teaching approaches (developing new assignments, course content, etc). As part of the sharing process, participants may seek peer feedback, ask specific questions, or simply attend as an observer.
Learning Goals/Outcomes:
- Have an opportunity to share creative work in any form;
- Be given an opportunity to receive feedback on their shared work if desired;
- Participate in discussions that explore ways to budget time for creative work.

About the facilitators Professor Paul Ricciardi
Paul Ricciardi (Director) [He/Him] is a Professor of Theatre Arts at KCC where he teaches Acting I, Acting II, Voice and Diction, Play Analysis, and Foundations in Theatre, and directs productions for KCC Theatre Arts. Paul is the recipient of numerous grants and awards including an Open Education Global Award, a KCC President’s Faculty Innovation Award, a New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Grant, a Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Martha Boschen Porter Artist Grant, the Kennedy Center National Teaching Artist Award, and the Kennedy Center Gold Medallion. Paul is the former Co-Chair for Region 1 of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, he is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher and is Co-Director of the Ancram Center for the Arts, an award willing non-profit theater in the Hudson Valley of New York. He earned his MFA in Acting from Trinity Rep.
