Five Steps to Enroll in the Program

What to Know as You Complete Your Course Request Form
  • My Turn students can register for up to 2 classes by submitting the enclosed course request form. An example of how to enter the class information is shown across the top of the “Class Choices” section. Please see page 4 for the ways you can submit your request form.
  • Please submit First-Choice Course/s and also provide Second-Choice options, in case a course is unavailable. Enter your Second-Choice options in the “Back-Up choices” at the bottom of the form.

  • My Turn Students, auditing classes, cannot register for the following courses:
Culinary Arts, Computer Science (Math), EMS Training, English 1200, English 2400, Flex Classes, Math, Nursing, Tourism

  • Note: Classes with prerequisites, and requests to repeat a class, will require departmental approval. If you have already met prerequisites, please enter the Semester/Year that you took the course in the space provided on the request form. If you wish to repeat a class please note when the class was taken.

  • Please keep in mind that matriculated students are the priority and are registered before MY Turn students can be registered in open classes.

  • Class Format: The modes of instruction include in-person, online, and hybrid (hybrid combines traditional, face-to-face “seat time” with some online learning activities). Be cognizant of the class format when choosing courses. FLEX classes are only open to students enrolled in the FLEX Program.

  • Current Student Announcement
Proof of Residency needs to be updated yearly. Please contact the My Turn Office if you have not updated proof of residency or are unsure of your documentation status.

  • Requirement for in-person/hybrid courses: Students interested in taking in-person/hybrid courses are required to be fully vaccinated.

  • New and Current Student Matriculation Information
As of fall 2020, new and current My Turn students will only be allowed to audit courses and not receive college credits.

My Turn students who choose to matriculate will no longer be a part of the My Turn program and will be able to apply for financial aid.

Currently matriculated My Turn students will be part of a select cohort of matriculated students who will continue to have their tuition and fees waived and receive credits for the courses they are enrolled in through 2024.
