Lisa Schneider

Lisa Schneider

Lecturer | Business Administration

Lisa S. Schneider joins Kingsborough Community College as a full-time lecturer in the business department. A Brooklyn native and Long Island resident, Lisa builds on her 13 years of experience as an adjunct assistant professor at Kingsborough, where she taught courses on business law, organizational behavior and management, fundamentals of business, and marketing.

Lisa holds an associate degree in business administration from Nassau Community College, a B.S. in management from Long Island University–C.W. Post, and a Juris Doctor from Touro College's Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

She has been practicing law since 1989 and is a member of the New York State and Nassau County bar associations. She is admitted to practice law in New York State and U.S. federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Her legal background includes in-house corporate counsel work. She is also a court-certified mediator.

Interestingly, it was her experience practicing law that inspired her to teach. “One aspect of my position as an attorney was to educate my clients regarding the law,” she noted. “I’ve always enjoyed learning and sharing what I’ve learned. I find it rewarding, and it revives my enthusiasm for the practice of law.”

Lisa is eager to now focus her effort primarily on teaching. She looks forward to collaborating with colleagues and inspiring students to achieve their goals. She is also interested in exploring the impact of artificial intelligence and technology on students' educational processes.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys food, theater, music, museums, and traveling—sometimes by motorcycle. She shares her home with a brother and sister cat she affectionately calls her "fur children."
