The Accounting Society
MISSION
The Accounting Society promotes interest in Accounting. At meeting speakers talks on accounting subjects of interest to students. Recently representatives from DeVry Institute spoke to students on skills needed in the workplace. A recent guest speaker from the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs spoke to students about consumer rights. Kathleen Swift, CPA from Ernst and Young, spoke to students about accounting opportunities.
MEETINGS
The Accounting Society meets monthly. Meeting days and times are announced in campus newspapers. For additional information contact Professor Litvack at 718-368-5555.
FACULTY ADVISOR
The faculty advisor is Professor Rose Litvach. The club also has an outside advisor, Kathleen Swift, CPA from Ernst and Young. Ms. Swift will keep club members informed of activities in the accounting profession that may be of particular interest to members.
