Riad Miah is an artist and educator who lives and works in New York City. His work has been exhibited at the Baltimore Museum of Contemporary Art, White Box Gallery, deluxe projects, Rooster Contemporary Art, Life on Mars Gallery, Mayson Gallery, and Simon Gallery. Riad’s work has been shown nationally and internationally including Budapest, Belgium, New Jersey, Ohio, Chicago, and New York. He has participated in several artist residencies including the Vermont Studio Center, Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture in Maine, Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (HISK) and is the recipient of grants and fellowships from the NY Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in painting and Germination Europe (Germany). He has also been nominated/semi-finalist for the following: Louis Comfort Tiffany Award, Rema Hort-Mann Award, and the Basil H. Alkazzi Award for Excellence in Painting. He has been a professor of art at various colleges and universities including School of Visual Arts, New York Arts Program, Parsons The New School for Design, and The Ohio State University. Miah has presented artist talks on his work at Sarah Lawrence College, Dartmouth College, Virginia Commonwealth University, National Arts Club, and Princeton University. Riad Miah holds an M.F.A from Ohio State University and a B.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts. Miah’s works is included in private, Universities, and cooperate collections, nationally and internationally. Riad Miah’s work is represented by Simon Gallery.
