Biography

 

Born in Brooklyn New York. Captain Nappo’s family owned and operated Automotive and Marine Machine shops and supply stores.

Captain Nappo is a graduate of Beach Channel High School and received his Undergraduate Degree from St. Francis College and his Master’s Degree from St. John’s University.

Captain Nappo has been involved in the commercial fishing industry and shipyard repairs since completing high school. While going to University, he worked on commercial fishing boats in the summers and during break. After completion of his Master’s Degree Captain Nappo went to work full time as master and mate on offshore fishing vessels.

He remains active in the commercial fishing of Giant Bluefin and Bigeye tuna. Captain Nappo is an avid sport fisherman. Participating in extreme long range fishing, spending up to 5 weeks in the Pacific Ocean pursuing Yellowfin tuna.

He currently resides in Long Island NY with his wife of 16 years Elissa.
