Important Message
From: President
Sent: Monday, November 29, 2021Dear Campus Community,
For many of us the recent holiday and the opportunity to be around loved ones after not being able to do so for such a long time, makes it easy for us to think that COVID-19 is a thing of the past. Rest assured it is not. In the past week we experienced an increase in positive cases and I anticipate that given we have just returned from a long holiday weekend, I suspect there will be additional reports of positive cases.
I write to remind you of the following:
-
If you have tested positive, please inform your supervisor and Karen St. Hilaire (karen.sthilaire@kbcc.cuny.edu). Karen will advise you of next steps. Please do not come to campus.
-
If you have been in contact with someone who tested positive, or if you do not feel well, do not come to campus. Please inform your supervisor and make arrangements to get tested as soon as possible. Do not use the KCC or any other CUNY testing site. You can find a site for a fast, no cost test at nyc.gov/covidtest.
-
Please continue to wear your mask and maintain social distancing while on campus.
As we know, you can have COVID-19 and not exhibit symptoms. As such, to further protect the health and safety of every member of our college community, the University has commenced a multi-pronged strategy to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 which includes Random Testing.
-
Please comply with requests to participate in random testing on campus.
If you have any questions, please contact Karen St. Hilaire.
Many thanks,
Claudia V. Schrader, Ed.D.
President
