Dear College Community,
Following an extensive search, I am pleased to introduce Lisa R. Khandhar to Kingsborough as our new Chief Diversity Officer/ 504/ADA Coordinator. As CDO, Lisa will lead the development and implementation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and related trainings for students, faculty and staff.
Lisa has 18 years of legal experience, 13 of those years conducting evaluations and investigations of civil rights complaints for the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, developed educational policy for the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) as an Agency Attorney and served as an Advisor for human rights policies, child rights and freedoms of expression and opinion for the Permanent Mission of the Maldives to the United Nations.
Lisa earned her Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law, and Bachelors in Political Science, magna cum laude from Binghamton University.
