Open Education at KCC

Open Education at Kingsborough Community College is a collaborative effort between the Office of Academic Affairs, Kingsborough Library, Kingsborough Center for Teaching and Learning (KCTL) and Kingsborough Center for e-Learning (KCeL) to support faculty, staff and students in the exploration and implementation of open education in a variety of courses. KCC's work as an Achieving the Dream Leader College has created a campus community focused on student success and increasing access to higher education. Open educational practices are an integral part of this work. Faculty are  supported by KCC/CUNY workshops, professional development offerings, and technical support through KCTL and KCeL.

OE@KCC is committed to:

• Promote equity by increasing student access to affordable and culturally responsive learning materials and pedagogies
• Support faculty in the development of affordable zero to low cost course materials
• Expand awareness of and support for a faculty and students to explore the wide range of Open Educational Practices
