Understanding Your Cost of Attendance (COA)
The cost of attendance is the total estimated cost for attending Kingsborough Community College as estimated by the City University of New York (CUNY). Detailed cost of attendance information is available on the Undergraduate Financial Aid webpage. Costs that you are expected to incur while pursuing your education include:
- Tuition and Fees
- Books and Supplies
- Transportation (MetroCard)
- Lunch
- Room and Board
- personal expenses
Tuition and Fees is the only part of the cost of attendance that you pay directly to the college. The other costs are covered from a combination of financial aid and your financial resources.
What is a Net Price Calculator?
Our Net Price Calculator will provide you with an early estimate of the financial
aid for which you might qualify. Based on the information you provide regarding your
financial situation and your education preferences; the calculator will return a net
price. That price reflects your estimated costs of attending Kingsborough Community
College less your estimated financial aid.

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only way to apply for federal student aid. Each year October 1st, the FAFSA is available for the next school year. It is best to fill it out as early as you can because some aid is first come, first served. Make sure to include Kingsborough Community College Federal School code 002694.
Important Steps:
Step 1: Apply for FAFSA, which is available by October 1st of every year.
Step 2: The KCC Financial Aid Office will receive and review your application, and an award notification will be sent to your KCC email.
Step 3: If you do not receive an award letter, the KCC Financial Aid Office will contact you for additional information that is required for further processing.
*The Financial Aid Award letter will be emailed to your KCC email address. You can also view your award package on CunyFirst > Student Services Center > Account Inquiry.
