Dr. Mark D’Alessandro is an Associate Professor, and the Culinary Arts Program Director at Kingsborough Community College, where he teaches basic and

advanced culinary and baking and pastry courses. Prior to joining Kingsborough, he taught at various schools and universities across the United States.

Dr. D’Alessandro holds an associate degree from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in culinary arts, a baccalaureate degree from Florida

International University in Hospitality Management, a Master of Philosophy from The CUNY Graduate Center, a Master of Arts from New York University in

Food Studies, and Ph.D. from the CUNY Graduate Center in Earth and Environmental Science.
