In 2016, through funding from the Department of Labor Northeast Resiliency Consortium, Workforce Development and Maritime Technology created an accelerated 12 - day intensive  Deckhand Training program  based off employer demand for the NYC Ferry service system.  

Outcomes

2 cohorts of 12 - 24 total Enrolled

22 completed - 5 enrolled at KCC

12 Immediately employed in industry
