What is KCC - LSAMP?

The Kingsborough Community College Louis Stokes Alliance for the Minority Participation (KCC-LSAMP) in Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology is a federally funded research and training program offered in all the CUNY institutions. It is sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation in collaboration with the City University of New York.

What are the objectives of KCC - LSAMP?

  1. To help increase the number of associates degree recipients from populations who have traditionally been underrepresented in the sciences and engineering.
  2. To encourage participation by providing research assistantships and academic support in the science, technology, engineering and math ( STEM ).
  3. To incorporate collaborative learning and support for students in calculus, chemistry and physics courses with peer tutors, workshop leaders and faculty mentors.
