Simone Rodriguez, PhD
Vice President for Workforce Development, Continuing Education and Strategic Partnerships

Kingsborough Community College’s vice president for workforce development, continuing education, and strategic partnerships, Dr. Simone Rodriguez, has more than 25 years of professional experience working with youth and adults in higher education.

She has held positions at private and public institutions in New York and New Jersey, including associate provost and then dean of the School of Professional and Community Development at Medgar Evers College and associate dean of success programs at Bronx Community College.

At KCC, she provides strategic leadership and vision for expanding workforce development, continuing education, and developing community partnerships. She presides over several federal, state, city, corporate, and privately funded programs. She is a proud executive board member of the New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP), an evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and an active member of several professional organizations.

Rodriguez has presented at regional, national, and international conferences on pre-college programs, student success, workforce development, and adult and continuing education.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, politics, and law from SUNY Binghamton, a Master of Arts in higher education administration from New York University, a PhD in higher education administration from Walden University, and a certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education Institute for Management and Leadership in education.
