Johana I. Rivera, EdD
Vice President for Enrollment Management

KCC’s vice president of enrollment management, Dr. Johana I. Rivera, has overseen admissions, recruitment, financial aid, international student affairs, registrar, testing, and the One Stop Center since August 2019.

A CUNY employee for over 33 years, her career has focused primarily on enrollment and student service areas. Before coming to KCC, Rivera served as associate registrar at Brooklyn College, registrar at City College, registrar and then executive director of enrollment and registrar at Medgar Evers College, and associate dean of student development and enrollment management at Hostos Community College.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in liberal arts from Brooklyn College, an Ed.D. in executive leadership from St. John Fisher University, and a certificate in educational leadership and administration from UCLA.

Rivera has a strong commitment to mentoring and helping others recognize their full potential. She views every day as a teaching and learning opportunity and sees herself as a lifelong learner.
