Andres Escobar
Interim Vice President for Finance and Administration
Andres Escobar serves as Kingsborough Community College’s interim vice president for finance and administration. He has over 15 years of experience in CUNY, holding various roles. Most recently, he served as Kingsborough’s assistant vice president for budget and finance.
Currently, he is responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative functions at Kingsborough, such as budgeting, accounting, facilities management, and public safety, while also seeing that all CUNY and state fiscal policies are followed. He also ensures the College’s financial and physical resources are strategically managed to support academic operations and student success.
Escobar holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Baruch College and both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business management from the College of Staten Island. He serves as the treasurer on the KCC Association and Auxiliary Services boards and sits on many college-wide and CUNY-wide committees.
