Lisa Khandhar, JD
Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX/ADA Coordinator

Lisa Khandhar has served as Kingsborough Community College’s chief diversity officer and Title IX/ADA coordinator since October 2023. She ensures college compliance with CUNY’s non-discrimination and sex-based misconduct policies; investigates complaints of discrimination; provides diversity and compliance trainings; handles appeals of reasonable accommodation requests; and oversees equitable practices in recruitment, hiring and retention. Since joining Kingsborough, Khandhar has focused on developing proactive diversity and inclusion programming for students and staff by collaborating with other departments on campus.

Khandhar previously investigated complaints of discrimination against school districts and colleges at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. She has also worked as an associate at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, the New York City Department of Education, and the Maldives Mission to the United Nations.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
