Cheryl Todmann
Vice President for Communications and Marketing
Cheryl Todmann serves as the vice president for communications and marketing at Kingsborough Community College. She is responsible for enhancing the College’s brand awareness and visibility among both external and internal audiences. This encompasses a range of activities, including advertising, public relations, creative and graphic design, storytelling, social media, government relations, photography, multimedia services, and website design and content.
She began her career in marketing, working for prominent media companies such as Essence Magazine, The New York Times, TV Guide, and MTV Networks.
Motivated by the mission-driven work of nonprofit organizations and their support for communities in need, she transitioned from a corporate career to a focus on community service. At organizations like Brooklyn Community Services, the Brooklyn Public Library, and The Bowery Mission, she has spearheaded communications, branding, and fundraising efforts.
Todmann holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Syracuse University, a certificate in international business from the Syracuse London Center, and a certificate in executive education-crisis leadership in higher education from the Harvard Kennedy School.
